The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation invites members of the media to its Annual Lecture, featuring Zane Dangor, Director-General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).

This year’s lecture will explore: Navigating a Changing World Order: Challenges and Opportunities for South Africa.

Dangor will reflect on South Africa’s position within an evolving global landscape. A topic that continues to shape the nation’s international relations, diplomacy, and policy direction.

Responding to Dangor’s address will be Professor Achille Mbembe, head of the Innovation Foundation for Democracy and Board Member at the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation. He is a globally renowned historian and political theorist, widely recognised as a pioneering voice in postcolonial and critical theory.

This forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to encouraging dialogue on democracy, social justice, and ethical governance, principles that Ahmed Kathrada upheld throughout his life.
