2023 Annual Lecture

The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation invites you to attend its annual lecture. The annual lecture will be held under the theme, “Assessing 30 years of Democracy in South Africa – a dream deferred?. The lecture will be delivered by Mr Rekgotsofetse Chikane, an activist, academic, author, and Deputy Chairperson of the Defend our Democracy Movement.

The foundation has extended an invitation to the African National Congress, the Democratic Alliance and Rise Mzansi to respond to the keynote address.

The recipients of the 2023 annual Anti-Racism Awards will also be announced and awarded at the event. The awards recognise people or organisations that do remarkable work in deepening non-racialism.
